- Write a 250+ word response to the assigned material, discussing some of the digital preservation challenges inherent in electronic literature and why eliterature is so darn white.

- Read "15 Examples of Impressive Digital Storytelling" and explore a couple of examples.
- Writing:
- Write a 250+ word piece in which you discuss a few examples of digital writing and what they contribute to the field.
- Post in our ASULearn forum today and respond substantively to at least 2 classmates’ postings by the following day - one for each poet you weren't assigned to.

- Class meets via Zoom. A recording will be available for those who cannot attend. If you cannot attend, please write a post on your final thoughts on the course, taking into account the reading and sharing your example of digital writing.
- Research Paper Presentations.
- Read "Electronic Literature and the Future of Writing" by Leonardo Flores
- Bring an example of a meme, GIF, or other form of digital writing we haven't yet explored in class.
- Final discussion.
- Research Paper and Engagement Self-Assessment due.
Research Paper
Your research paper will be an in-depth study of an author, elit genre, technique, trend, paradigm shift, or any other topic related to the class. It should cover multiple works of electronic literature and advance a clear thesis that is supported by detailed analysis of works placed in conversation with relevant secondary sources.
Criteria:
- You will write a 1-2 paragraph proposal by Thursday, June 16. You will share it in class and receive feedback on your proposal in our synchronous class that day
- The research paper should be about 2500 words (10 pages) in length.
- The essay should cite at least 4 secondary sources.
- The essay should be formatted in MLA or some other established format.
- You will present your paper in a 10-minute presentation on June 23 or 24.
- The final draft is due on Friday, June 24.
