• Asynchronous class (we don't meet today):
  • Write a detailed analysis of one of the performance poems in YouTube, focusing on how the multimodality is meaningful in the poem. Include a link to the video. Incorporate screenshots and links to specific moments in the video (in YouTube, you can share a link to a specific second in the video), and analyze at least one moment in this. Post this analysis in ASULearn  before class today.
  • Read and respond substantively to at least 2 your classmates posts, and watch the performances, before class on Wednesday.
• Assignment:
  • Watch "What is Multimodality?" video with Gunther Kress
  • Do a multimodal analysis of a music video you like, focusing on how all its different elements come together to communicate more than the sum of its parts (images, video, lyrics, performance, sound, etc.). Include a link to the music video. Incorporate screenshots and links to specific moments in the video (in YouTube, you can share a link to a specific second in the video), and analyze at least one moment in this.
  • Post before class on Wednesday.
