Webinar: Technology and Evolving Research Practices in the Humanities

On May 20, 2025 I was a panelist in an MLA sponsored webinar, titled Technology and Evolving Research Practices in the Humanities. Here’s a description of the panel:

Academic research is shaped by new technology, which is rapidly changing. What does reading, writing, and research look like in the year ahead? How is AI shaping teaching and research? What new modes of scholarship are evolving? How can research tools like the MLA International Bibliography help academic researchers find not only credible and up-to-date sources but also materials that help push the boundaries of scholarship?

Featuring teaching faculty, library instructors, and research service leaders, this webinar will examine how new technology and AI tools are influencing research practices in the humanities. Attendees can expect an overview of current technology impacts and strategies for how to guide patrons through this changing scholarly environment.

You can access the slides and a full recording of the panel here.
