  • Read "Tradition and the Individual Talent" and "From Hamlet" in our textbook (pg 941-949).
  • Read "Objective Correlative" in The Princeton Encyclopedia of Poetry and Poetics
  • Read chapter on T.S. Eliot all the way to Gerontion (don't read The Waste Land yet). Pay special attention to "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" and "The Preludes."
  • Write a forum post in which you discuss how Eliot uses the objective correlative in "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" or "The Preludes."
